1. If you are using the Windows or Vista operating system*, download the free
Snapfiles MWSnap software from
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/mwsnap.html.
(See note 2 below.) MWSnap enables you to "rubber-band" a box around any area on your
computer display and create an image of what's in that area.
|
|
2. Go to the "Place an ad on YourEnergyOptions!" page and use MWSnap to create an image
from the quarter width, half width or full width ad sample. This should be about the
same height and width of the ad as it will appear on our web pages in a browser.
|
|
3. Insert that image into a wordprocessing or graphics document in a common application
such as MS Publisher or MS Word or PowerPoint. Use the image as a guide to help you
size your ad design for a quarter width, half width or full width ad.
|
|
4. Finally, use MWSnap to create a jpeg or gif image of your ad to upload on our
"Place an ad on YourEnergyOptions!" page. Don't worry too much about the precise
pixel dimensions. Our software will make the necessary adjustments, as long as your
height-to-width ratio is approximately right.

* If you are using a Macintosh, you can use command-shift-4 to do what MWSnap does,
but command-shift-4 creates only png files. Download Pixen from
http://opensword.org/Pixen/
to convert the png file to a jpeg or gif file. Pixen does
MUCH more than convert image formats. It's great!
